Thursday will mark three weeks on the Nutrisystem diet. I've lost 12 pounds so far in 2 1/2 weeks so it's definitely working. And I can honestly say I have gotten used to the taste of most of the food. I'm not saying I enjoy it, but I've adjusted. Breakfast and lunch are the easiest meals to get through. Dinners, however, suck! The dinners are really tough for me. I sit at the kitchen table and talk myself through it.....chew, chew, chew, swallow. And so it goes. I eat really, really fast so it will be over. Those testimonials I saw on the Nutrisystem website that state" the meatloaf and potatoes were better than my mom's"? LIES. Your mom must SUCK at cooking!
Let's take for example the Cajun Style Chicken & sausage with rice. Looks good, right?
In the photo on the box, there are actually pieces of chicken and sausage. You can see individual grains of rice. Yum. Can't be that bad, right? Not so much.
I opened a small corner of the lid for ventilation and put it in the microwave to heat. Alas, this is what I found when I opened it and put it on my plate:
